My Story

I'm raising money for ARC (Antenatal Results and Choices) which is a small UK charity that supports parents through antenatal testing.  I joined the charity as a trustee a year ago and am so impressed by the work they do.  It is a very small team and does not receive any government funding, so fundraising and donations are its largest source of income.

ARC is the only national charity that provides support to women and their partners through antenatal testing and its consequences. ARC provides a helpline that women, their partners, friends and family, and healthcare professionals can call as much as they need for support and information. The helpline members of staff are extremely experienced, and provide non-directive support to parents when they find out their baby has, or might have a fetal anomaly.

It can be a lifeline for those who have faced the heart breaking decision of ending a wanted pregnancy after prenatal diagnosis. ARC’s support services, including the forum for bereaved parents, can help ease feelings of isolation, and allows women and their partners to know they are not alone in their experience.

Thank you so much for supporting me and this amazing charity!
