Fundraising in memory of Daniel

My Story

Running for ARC, in memory of Daniel - our brother and son.

In 1992 and already as a family of 3 : Jane, Richard and 1 year old Matt, we went along for our 'routine scan'. Here we were told the dreadful news that Daniel, our unborn son and brother had a brain disorder called hydrocephalus. We were devastated, confused and felt very alone. Fortunately we were put in touch with a small charity called Antenatal Results and Choices (ARC) who offered us support, vital information and friendship.

Since Daniel died in 1992 our family has increased with the arrival of Jack but a part of the family is still missing - Daniel.

We've run races separately before but never together so we decided to give it a go at the Great North Run - 13 miles of pleasure! Who knows, we might still be talking to each other when we cross the finish line!

Please dig deep and help this wonderful charity to keep on giving support and information to families who need it and help them to train medical professionals to make a truly devastating diagnosis just a little less painful.

Thank you in advance.
